In her artistic research, Katrin Kolo explores the genre of opera as well as contemporary creative and collaborative processes at the interface of art, organization, and society. She is committed to combating the abuse of power and promoting gender equality. Her method of " Choreographic Thinking " is particularly suitable for this purpose, even in non-artistic contexts.

Revolving Histories (video)
This interview tells a lot about my career, my working methods, and the influences and attitudes that have shaped me. Dorothea Rust conducted it with me in 2022 as part of the "Revolving Histories" project.
"Revolving Histories" maps Swiss performance art in three dimensions: research, exhibition, publication.
I am delighted that some of my works have been recorded in the media library of the Basel School of Design and have also been included in the exhibition BANG BANG – translocal performance histories at the Museum Tinguely Basel.
Please take a look at this project from 2016, which recreates the genre of opera as an invisible performance on Zurich's Sechseläutenplatz during an opera intermission.
Maybe it will be recreated somewhere else!
With my workshop "Thinking as and with a collective body" I was part of the exhibition "100 ways of thinking" at the Kunsthalle Zurich in 2018.
I look forward to hearing from you via form , by email info@katrinkolo.com or phone +41 76 331 29 48
